VoiceGym Weekend Courses for Teachers and Clinicians

To accomodate the needs of participants it has been necessary to reschedule the next course for the weekend of 10/11 May 2008.

The weekends will focus on ...

How voice work can be used to speed treatment by empowering the patient, and the benefit to strucutral integrity of gertting the voice functioning efiiciently in both speech and singing. Case studies will support these findings.

  • can be selective about which exercises to concentrate on for specific problems, especially in dealing with tongue posture, nose breathing and body rhythm
  • can re-balance face muscle systems for nose breathing, speech and singing;
  • understand the relationship between jaw dysfunction and the articulation of speech

Forward tongue position and poor facial balance are increasing problems that affect not only the breathing and voice but whole body balance and posture as well as the position of teeth and jaw. Voice Gym whole body and voice exercises reposition the tongue and correct imbalance in the face muscles, thus providing an invaluable tool in correction of associated problems,including many of those experienced by singers, instrumentalists and dental patients.
