Welcoming Jessica Callen to the VoiceGym Team in the USA!

I’m delighted to welcome Jessica Callen to the VoiceGym teaching team! I’ve been working with Jessica for five years, training her in VoiceGym, and I’m very pleased to announce that she is now available to teach VoiceGym in the USA.

About Jessica

Jessica is a VoiceGym vocal coach, certified voice teacher, singer-songwriter, and harpist with more than fifteen years of teaching experience, working with students of all ages and levels.

She holds a Bachelor of Music in Studio Composition, graduating magna cum laude with concentrations in harp and vocal study, and undertook formal piano pedagogy training through the Royal Conservatory of Music. She earned her voice teacher certification through New York Vocal Coaching with Justin Stoney, studied the Controlled Relaxation technique developed by David Sorin Collyer, and went on to complete VoiceGym teacher training with Alexander Evans.

A Voice Transformed

Jessica came to VoiceGym through a personal journey of vocal loss and gradual recovery. This experience shaped her understanding of the voice as a whole-body system and led her to the functional, voice–body–and–brain based VoiceGym approach.

Teaching & Creative Work

Alongside her private studio, Jessica has created and taught music education and songwriting classes and programs from kindergarten through pre-college, as well as college-level and adult courses and workshops.

As an artist (known as Jessa Callen), she has released:

  • Three albums with her band The Callen Sisters

  • An EP with her band Dear Midnight

Her music has been featured on BBC Radio (Wales), and she has performed at events and venues such as:

  • New York Wine & Food Festival

  • American Harp Society

  • Matrix Imagination Hair Show

  • Detroit Institute of the Arts

  • The Frick Collection

  • American Museum of Natural History

Jessica has also appeared in and consulted on films such as Confessions of a Shopaholic and Bel Canto, as well as TV shows including Mozart in the Jungle.

Work with Jessica

Jessica offers VoiceGym sessions and personalized voice coaching in the San Francisco Bay Area and online, making her accessible to students across the USA and beyond.

If you’re interested in exploring a functional, body-based approach to your voice, Jessica brings deep experience, musicality, and empathy to her teaching.

For more information or to enquire about lessons with Jessica, please get in touch via the VoiceGym website.
